The house is a tall, three storey detached house that was very narrow. We enlarged the space at ground floor by extending to the side giving a larger sitting room and dining area. At first floor, we extended over the existing rear single storey extension to provide a large master bedroom, whilst retaining daylight to the children's bedrooms without overlooking the neighbours. The resulting house is spacious and airy.
